Window Mounted Solar Oven

(Student Name: Avinash Prabune, M.des, IDC)

Our student’s concept was to make cookers for urban apartment dwellers. This sleek looking appliance that is as “convenient as a microwave oven”. Can be mounted on any south facing window, for quick cooking—reaching 120 degrees in about 20 minutes. It removes the requirement of a large open terrace or garden, as well as the need to continuously check and change the cookers directions, while drastically cutting down cooking time.

Is there a timeline for this product’s availability to the public? I collect and use solar cookers and made my own through-the-wall cooker, and this one would be great to set alongside my rather conventional wall cooker here in Minnesota (44.5N, 93.2W) USA. Thanks for any insight! Also, hope that it can be shared on the Solar Cookers Worldwide Network Facebook page and YahooGroup?
